alohanico:sarazucker:i already have a stack of books that i must read, but i finally purchased madame bovary; i’m overly excited about it and plan to ignore the others. my books have unintentional cliques. (via b_r_y_n_e) I love Madame Bovary, though I have’t read it since high school - the literary theme for our grade 12 year was fallen women. I’ve been meaning to re-read it for a while but my book queue keeps getting longer. After Madame Bovary, you should totally read Flaubert’s Parrot by Julian Barnes. It’s one of my favorite books ever and though it’s a little odd at times, it will make you see SO much deeper into Madame Bovary.
