Overheard on the T

  • Woman #1: New Jersey is really close to Boston, right?
  • Woman #2: Well I mean, it's 4 or 5 hours away.
  • Woman #1: Oh! Maybe I'm thinking of New Hampshire? Is that close? Where's New Jersey?
  • I was horrified. And then I realized Woman #1 was from Canada. And I am very ignorant about Canada's geography, so why should she know where New Jersey and New Hampshire are of all places?
